Crown Casino plus Enertainment Complex
is a casino as well as entertainment precinct on the south
bank of the Yarra River, in Melbourne, Australia. The complex
is one of the central features of the popular Southbank area
in the central business district, and fronts onto the waterfront
Southbank Promenade.
The Crown Casino consist of two hotel towers, a number
of special fashion stores, food courts, top class restaurants,
cinema complex plus more. A notable feature is its entrance,
commonly identified as the 'light room', this enourmous
hall, located at the entrance to the complex, boasts a sound
plus picture display under the themes of the four seasons.
Crown is prominent for the fact it did not follow the American
Casino model whereby the gaming floors are situated at the
entrance, rather it can be a family venue plus teenage hangout
because of the gaming floors being enclosed.
