The Hôtel San Rémo is a hotel/casino
located off strip at 115 E Tropicana in Las Vegas, Nevada,
owned and operated by the Eastern and Western Hotel Corporation.
It is located next to the Tropicana and across the street
from the MGM Grand. The hotel has 711 rooms. The casino has
23,000 to 30,000 square feet (2,000 to 3,000 m²) of space.
The hotel took the San Rémo name in
1989.
History
The hotel was built in 1973 and opened as
a Howard Johnson Motel.

Treasury (1984-1989)
Pacifica Polyesian (1989)
The hotel, casino, and resturants were refurbished in 2002.
On August, 16, 2004 Hooters of America, Inc.
announced that they were purchasing the hotel.
On April 18, 2005 Hooters of America, Inc
announced a $190 million upgrade of the properity. The upgrade
would include increasing the casino to 35,000 square feet.
It would also rebrand the properity as a Hooters and have
the second largest Hooters in the world. All of the hotel
rooms would be remodeled and the number of resturants would
be inceased fom 4 to 8.
