Should Online Poker be measured as Gambling?

Everyone at Washington by now is recognizable with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, other wise known as the UIGEA. The bill was approved by the United States Congress during 2006 as an accessory to the Safe Port Act, a bill to develop port security and reduced the risk of catastrophic radical events inside USA ports. Certainly, the House of Representatives voted 409-to-2 in favor of the bill. The Senate passed the bill with similar percentages.

Many who were in favor did not know the Safe Port Act comprised a totally unrelated set of provisions to efficiently outlaw internet gambling at United States, incorporating online poker. The UIGEA makes it against the law for banks to route credit card transactions with offshore gambling and poker organizations, making it very tricky for US citizens play, except you obtain an offshore bank account.
